Sandy,

Here are a few recent photos of Cuda.  She is doing great and is starting to calm down into adult hood I think.  She loves to nap with me during the day and is such a lover.  We take her everywhere in the car, weather permitting.  I don't like to take her when it gets hot so those days we go for short drives with no particular place to go; this way she can smell out the neighborhood :)

Hope all is well!

Hello Sandy,

Sorry I have dropped the ball on this.  I have been busy with work, and on my off time, Cuda likes to cuddle... It's funny having a huge mastiff like her try to curl up on your lap... Every day I look forward to seeing her because it seems like she makes all my annoyances disapear!  I just love her!

Here are some pics of her from over the last few months!

Hi,

I just wanted to say hi and let you know Cuda is doing well and is now 5 months 1 week and 1 day!  I have managed to collect 3 of her baby teeth.  I was lucky enough to find one on the floor before she ate it, and the other two I heard mulling around in her mouth.  I actually didn't know that they were teeth, I just heard something hard, knowing she likes rocks, I went to scoop it out of her mouth, and it was a tooth!!!  Luck was on my side!  HaHa.&nsp; She is fully potty trained, and loves the snow!  We're using the Pedi-Paw to trim her nails and if she is tired she doesn't care much.

Well here are the pictures.  Enjoy.

Thanks again,

April, Al, and Cuda

Hello,

Training Classes are going well.  She is learning sit-stays, down-stays, wait, heel, come on command, and other things, such as how to walk nicely up stairs, and to wait for us to go out the door first before her.  Leave it! is a favorite of mine, useful to keep her away from the cat food.  She is getting it, but a new day is pretty much a new challenge!  I keep reminding myself that she is still a puppy!!  She absolutely LOVES to lean.  She loves to bring me a chew so I can hold it for her to gnaw on.  She loves to go for rides also!  I can say 'go for a ride?' and she flips out and sits at the door.  Then she will run to the car door and sit, then jumps in the back seat!  She tried to bury her chew toy for the first time last Thursday in her bed.  It was so cute.  She was so proud, even though it was still showing.  She was trying to nose 'dirt' over it.  HAHA  I've also noticed that when she is tired, she shuffles across the floor, similar to my grandmother.  Too cute!!  She has somewhat of a problem playing with the other dogs at training.  She runs on the outside of everyone, and doesn't really have any contact.  I take her to play with my mom's jackapoo all the time and she loves it!!  They romp through the house and take turns being submissive then calm down and lay.  We go on regular outings.  To the vet to get weighed, last time we went she was 3 1/2 months and 47.1 lb.  We are going tomorrow, and we go to the pet store, I take her to the gas station.  She has regular visitors from Al's family stopping by to see her, and we go to my family's houses once every few weeks.

Hi,

Just wanted to drop you a note and some pics of Cuda.  Lets see, she should be 12 weeks this Tuesday, and it seems that she has doubled in size since we got her.  She is absolutely wonderful, I love her personality.  She gets along well with everyone in the family, including Al's niece and nephew.  My mom has a jackapoo, Ivy, who likes to play.  It's not usually a long visit because they play hard, and Cuda gets worn out fast.  I want you to know that I am very mindfull of how she plays and how long she plays.  Puppy classes begin the end of October, and we have contacted the trainer about information.&nsp; She is sending in the mail the information with the dates, and we are excited about starting them!!  I had gone with Ivy when we first got her as a puppy, and have been trying to do some of the exercises with Cuda everyday.  So far, for the most part, she sits on command; goes 'outside and inside'; and crates on command.  The first few nights were rough and she was barking and whining the majority of the night, however, it only lasted maybe three nights, and now she doesn't make a sound until morning when she has to go out.  We use a baby monitor during the night just in case, but I think I have the different whines figured out.  She has had her booster and rabies shot as of last Friday.  We had taken her to the vet because she has had runny poodles for almost a week.  It varied for about a week between actual diarrhea, and just soft poodles.  The vet said she had a clean fecal test, so no parasites, and we have been giving her pumpkin.  Today it seems to be clearing up, it is maybe every third poodle that is soft.  We make sure that she is hydrated, and she seems to be in good health.  She seems to do well riding in the car as well from home to my mom's house.  She just lays down and sleeps.

Well, that's all for now.  When she starts puppy classes, I will write more.  Thanks again for such a wonderful dog, I just love her to bits!
