Hey Sandy!

Sydney is doing great!  She is our spoiled baby.  She has passed her puppy class and her Canine Good Citizen class.  I am hoping to take her for pet therapy next.  I take her into my work sometimes (I work at a hospital) and she does awesome with the patients.  She gets a little excited when my co-workers come over to pet her but as soon as we step foot into a patient's room her whole attitude changes.  She visited a patient who was really banged up after getting hit by a dump truck; she went over to the side of the bed and just laid her head down beside him.  I think she will do great as a therapy dog!

We have also taken her swimming at a local doggie pool.  She absolutely loves it!  She gets a little too excited when there are other dogs there though.  She tends to want to play with them while they are still in the pool.  Since she is so big she accidentally pushes them under water and they don't like that too much.

She is such a loving dog.  As I type she is sleeping on my lap on the sofa.  We love her so much!

Hey Sandy,

Sydney is now 14 1/2 weeks and 43 pounds.  I can barely lift her anymore!  She is doing absolutely great and is such a lover.  She loves being curled up right next to Scott or I when she takes her nap.  One of her favorite past times is sitting out on our deck watching all the little kids in our neighborhood play.  She gets so excited when she sees them and plays well with them too.  We gave her her first bath the other night and she loved it!  She kept trying to stick her head under the faucet and was pawing at the drain.
