Hi Sandy!

Just wanted to check in and give you a little update on Koda.  She is doing great and we are so in love, we couldn't have asked for a better dog.  She is weighing about 135 lbs right now; her back legs seem to be taller so I think a growth spurt is coming soon!  She is so strong and muscular but so so sweet and gentle.  She continues to be very submissive to all other dogs which is ok with me!  She has been left out of the crate for about 3-4 months now and we have had no issues (fingers crossed)!

We have some big news, Koda is going to get a little human brother/sister in September!  I know she will be great with them, we are trying to expose her to babies frequently while we can!

We are so in love with her and she has become the celebrity dog in the neighborhood!  Troy and I say all the time we don't think we could ever have another dog besides an American Mastiff!

I hope you all are doing well and enjoy your summer! I attached some pictures of our girl! :)

A little update on our girl: She weighed in at 92 lbs on Christmas!  Santa got her a couple toys (that are already in the trash - she ripped the heads off!), an antler and a stuffed natural femur bone that she loooves!  You are definitely right about the teenage temper tantrum stage!  She is starting to challenge us and at times basically laughs at us when we are "trying" to discipline her!  But she’s still our sweet lovable big girl 99% of the time!  You're right, the prong collar is an amazing tool, she is an angel with it on!  We start obedience school on Tuesday!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

A little update on Koda....  She's doing amazing!  Growing like a weed.  Her back legs are much bigger right now, so we are waiting any day now for her front legs to sprout up!  She's about 85 pounds now!  It's so funny how she is so big but still has all her puppy tendencies.  She walks by our side like a pro, we have even been doing off leash traning in a large open park and she comes running right up to us when she is called!  We are proud parents! :)  She has the best personality and is becoming a famous dog in our neighborhood! :)

Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Hi Sandy!

I thought I would check in and let you know how Koda is!  She's just amazing!  She already graduates from puppy kindergarten next week!  She knows so many commands already.  She does so good at classes and has warmed up to playing with all the puppies... its adorable to watch.  The trainer says she is the "peace keeper" of the group, she will let out her deep bark and break up 2 puppies if they are playing too rough.  It's halirious to watch!  She prances around and falls constantly... very clumsy and she carries the name 'gentle giant' perfectly :)  She weighed in at 61 lbs last night (she grew 6 lbs in just one week!...oh my!)  The time has come where I can barely pick her up :(  I hope you have a wonderful Halloween! :)

Hi Sandy!

We were thinking about you guys last weekend and hope that your reunion went well!  So sad we couldn't make it but we are excited for next years!  The day of the reunion we were at a Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser and of course Koda was attracting everyone to her and we actually met a family that bought a dog from you 6 years ago!  The dogs name is Pixie (she was from the Willow & Diesel litter).... what a small world!!  They were very nice people and said Pixie is doing wonderful!

Koda now weighs 35 lbs... she has doubled her weight in the month we have had her!  She absolutely loooves people!  Her tail goes wagging and thinks every person wants to pet her!  She is still a little timid with dogs, she does better with the company of one dog so far.  She starts puppy kindergarten on Wednesday and are so excited for that!  Koda has developed her own little personality and we are so in love! :)

Hi Sandy!

Just checking in and giving you an update of our precious baby!  I think its safe to say Koda has adapted fully to her new family/home.  She went to our beach house this past weekend and had a blast!  She loved the sand and digging.  Koda wasn't too sure about the ocean though, I think the waves scared her.  We also took her to a trail that has a creek and she jumped right in the water! :)  She is just the cutest.  Everywhere we take her, people are drawn to her.  She is doing outstanding socializing with all different ages of people and kids.  She continues to be a little timid towards some dogs but we are keeping up with the socialization at her own speed.  We are looking into puppy kindagarden, they have a waiting list so hopefully she will start at the end of Sept/ beginning of Oct.  We have been training on our own for now, she knows the commands, "Sit" and "Come".  I think she finally knows her name too!  We become more in love with her everyday. :)

Hi Sandy,

Koda had a full day yesterday, spent a day around her 4 human cousins!  They gave her lots of love and she loved them right back!  She sure is getting alot of attention!  She has so much personality especially early in the morning before Troy and I have had our coffee/tea yet! :)  We are keeping track of her growing progress on our wall ruler in our kitchen!  Koda is going to experience the shore this weekend for the first time!  I hope she loves the sun sand and ocean as much as we do!  Pictures to come! :)

Have a great rest of the week!
