Hi Sandy and Jim, I'm sending a few pictures of our boy Murphy.  The pictures cover the 7-12 month range.  He graduated (with honors) from Intermediate Dog Training in March.  He just turned one year old a couple weeks ago.  One of these pictures is Matt and Murphy with the birthday "cake."  Matt made him a frozen treat of water, a splash of chicken stock, and treats suspended inside.  Murphy loved it! We participated in a Climb to Conquer Cancer (we only walked about a mile, but he was very enthusiastic, we think he might like camping). He weighed in at 132 pounds a couple weeks ago.  His growth has really slowed down, so we think he'll be on the small side of the breed.  He continues to fill out though.  Looking back at his pictures, it's easy to see how much he's grown!  We love him so much. *Sue and Matt in AZ

Hi Sandy, Murphy and I made it to Arizona yesterday.  He was a real trouper on the long drive.  It was nice to see our country from one coast to the other (almost), but we're both glad to be settling into our new apartment. Before we left Maryland, Murphy finished his beginner obedience class and graduated at the top of his class.  I'll attach a picture with him in his graduation cap.  He did a great job and we're going to go on for more training. Hope all is well with you and the gang. *Sue

Hi Sandy and Jim,

We wanted to send you an update and a few pictures of Murphy.  He's doing really well, growing up to 5 pounds a week.  At 18 weeks, he weighed in at 61.1 pounds.  He sleeps a lot during the day, but loves to play in the backyard and go for long walks.  He got his rabies shot last week, so we'll be going to the dog park this weekend to meet more friends.  He's one of the top students in obedience class and several people at the pet shop know him by name.  He's very popular!

Attached are a few pictures of him over the past few weeks.  He's growing so fast, I can't believe how different he looks from week to week.

We have some other news to share - we will be moving to Arizona at the end of the month.  I got a dream job, an opportunity we couldn't pass up.  Murphy will be driving with me right after Thanksgiving.  I'll send you a new address as soon as I get one.

I hope the reunion was fun and that Duchess' pups are doing well.

Hi Sandy and Jim,

We just want to send you an update on Murphy and some pictures.  He's doing really well.  We haven't quite slept through the night yet, but we're getting closer!  He's starting to accept his crate, but really, all he wants to do is be near us.  He loves his Jolly Ball toy for outside fun, and his plush Booda giraffe inside.  He can already sit, come, and go-potty on command.  He loves to give kisses, even when not asked!  He's going to be a Licker!  We're still working on "down" and being able to behave on a leash.

He's really a handsome boy, a big hit with everyone.  He can literally stop traffic in the neighborhood.  He caught the attention of a bus full of school kids.  He's met most of our family and friends in the area and gets along well with everyone.

His first vet visit was a good one - he didn't cry at all.  He did lose a little weight compared to your scale, but his appetite has picked up since then.  Everyone at the office just loved him.

He's only been with us for less than two weeks, but we can't imagine life without him.  Thank you so such a wonderful addition to our family.
