Pictured below at 3 years old.         Hi Sandy, I find myself checking the website monthly.  The happiness this breed brings to families is amazing.  Their sense of care, love, affection, protection, fun, and just plain there all the time makes them amazing.  Well I'm speaking for Koda here but from looking at the pictures on your website I think it's obvious others feel the same.  We would not replace Koda for anything and he is truly a best friend and part of this family forever.  He pretty much goes with us everywhere, truly.  He is invited to all family events at other homes including friends and goes to every outdoor activity with us (kids games, hiking, walks, you name it).  He just loves to be with us. I've attached some pictures for your enjoyment.  As you can tell he loves the kids and my points above hit home. Hope all is well, Brandon

Hi Sandy, Koda is quite an amazing guy, he never leaves my side.  He was out of his kennel at night sleeping in his bed by 10 months and kennel free at 12 months with no accidents since.  He loves water and the snow, especially that water... he'll chase the sprinklers all day if he could. No complaints that's for sure and he has built quite the bond with our oldest son.  For the most part I think he goes everywhere with us and to date he has been admired by more than one stranger at each stop. As amazing as Koda has been of course we would love to add another one of your puppies to our family.  However we still have our golden and our shih-tzu so adding a fourth dog does not make sense right now.  I'm thinking probably one or two more years, so if you can keep us on the list or push us out that would be great. Thanks for keeping us in mind; we sure are happy with our choice to go with Deepwood! Thanks and happy holidays, Brandon

Koda has by far exceeded all of our expectations and is an amazing addition to the family.  We just got back from a long family vacation so he was with my in-laws and was missed by all.  The boys really missed him and I think he missed us too.  House training has been rather easy and he is very obedient.  Your initial description of him as being all play or all cuddle is true to this day.  He has been spoiled rotten and for the most part deservedly so.  He does like the snow and loves to bark and play when we scoop the walks and deck.  We just weighed him this weekend and he is 72 lbs.

It was nice meeting you guys and my travel to Denver was more stressful in anticipation then it was during.  Koda was amazing on the plane and everyone thought I gave him Benadryl but I didn't!  He was not happy when we boarded the plane because I had to zip-up the crate, not to mention the air was not running on the plane so he was hot too.  Anyway I unzipped the crate so he could have his head out and he calmed down.  Calmed down probably is not the right word to use, he only barked once and it was more of a yip then anything.  He tried to get out of the crate only a few times.  I let him sit-up in the crate but he was in it the entire time and was such a good dog.  Keeping a hand on him the entire time helped and thankfully the air started working after we left the gate.
