Hello Sandy,
Lakota's personality is quite interesting. She can go from being a mother hen one minute to being very stubborn the next.
She thinks at times she is entitled to being the princess... haha. The one thing we enjoy is she is very loving & loyal.
She will greet every new person with caution, once she realizes that the family is comfortable with the visitor, she
does not hesitate to say "look at me". She's big for a "lady"; she is taller & longer than Boss. She is weighing
in at 112lbs. As you can see more of the apricot is coming out in her markings. She truly is a very beautiful animal.
Boss is all "boy" - he needs to let you know that he wants to be king of everything. Not to the point of being
aggressive - he just has a swagger that he is top dog... Lakota can care less, too funny. He recently was at a loss,
for our 16 year old setter passed and Boss could not understand why he couldn't find him. He was missing his napping
buddy, and it was very hard to watch him pace and whimper trying to find his "big" brother. Boss's apricot color at
one point was light in color, now it is much darker. His belly has a grey color to it. The one thing people say
when they first see him is "wow" that's a big dog. For his stature he is big; he is solid muscle, and weighing in at 121lbs.
Right now they are both cuddling up next to each other on the coach enjoying a lazy sunday afternoon. They really do
enjoy each others company. People thought we were crazy getting not just 2 pups but mastiff pups at that. We know we
made the right choice.
Thank you for such a great pair of dogs.

Hello Sandy,
Finally we are able to send some pictures of Lakota & Boss.
Like I told you before, these two have such personalities. They do enjoy each others company
and have adjusted well to the routines of a busy family.
Lakota has become such a "mother hen"
always making sure that if Boss or our 15 yr old setter are outside that she keeps tabs on them.
She is also a very alert dog, if there is anyone near the house walking or driving she will watch
until they disappear. She likes to tell "stories" when she cannot find a place to lay on the couch.
Boss is all male... he loves to show that he needs to be in charge, even though Lakota does not care. It
is almost to the point as if they were human brother and sister and they like to "pick" on each other...
very funny to watch. The funniest thing that Boss likes to do is when we come home from where ever,
he likes to take your hand in his mouth and lead you around the house, almost like telling us where he has been.
We want to thank you for such beautiful and intelligent animals. More pictures will be on there way
after the holidays.
