Dear Jim and Sandy,
I am enclosing two photos of Bella with our grandson Alex and one of Ben with
our grandson Andrew
as they all watch Star Wars. Ben just earned his canine good citizen. He really surprised
me by staying while I walked 20 feet away and back. He would never do it when we practiced,
but performed admirably under pressure. He and Bella are such great dogs. We take them
to the nursing home to see my dad and all of the other residents. They are so well behaved.
Ben also goes with me to Tractor Supply to buy their food. He is now 155 pounds and Bella is 142
at 15 months.

Dear Sandy and Jim,
We thought that we would give you a quick update
regarding Ben and Bella. Both pups are doing very well as they approach their 9 month mark.
We weighed Ben just the other day and he topped the scale at 135 pounds. He is sleek, lovable, and stubborn.
He completed his first obedience training, and we signed him up again for September. He has been difficult to
walk and control on a leash, but we started using the "gentle leader" this week and he is much bettrer. Hopefully,
within a couple weeks he won't need it.
Bella, on the other hand, weighed in at 119 pounds;
since she was "fixed" at 6 months she has gotten "chunkier". Both are very active, have a favorite
playmate named Stormy (1-1/2 year old boxer) and love to ride in the car. She walks well on a loose leash.
They have each visited Eric's parents' nursing home and have behaved well. They are friendly and careful of
residents and have no fear of wheelchairs, etc.
We are attaching photos from age 7 months.
