Hi Sandy!
We cannot believe that Mia is 8 months old already! Time flies when you are having fun and growing
5 pounds a week. We are so lucky to have her in our lives and we can't even remember life pre-Mia.
She is sweet, hilarious, relatively obedient (for an 8 month old puppy) and very protective of our family,
particularly our kids. She is everything we hoped for in a dog, and so much more.
She just hit 100 pounds at 8 months old. Big girl! With a dog that big she needs to be trained
and she passed her puppy training class with flying colors. We will be signing her up for intermediate
training this summer to fine tune her listening skills, particularly around moving vehicles and to stop
the "counter/kitchen table surfing" she likes to do at dinner time. She does really well around other
people and other dogs. We HIGHLY recommend the Gentle Leader to anyone with a giant breed dog as it
makes our walks together a very relaxing and fun time. She can't pull while wearing it, which makes it
one of the greatest inventions ever as far as we are concerned. As for our cats, well, it happened just
as you said... They trained her. If she feels the desire to chase them, they quickly remind her that
they were here first and she submits to them by lying down and putting her chin on her paws. Adorable.
Thank you, as well as Paxton and Summerlyn, for bringing her into our lives. She is such a joy!

Hi Sandy,
We are head over heels in love with Mia. She is such a lovebug. She is everything we hoped
for in a puppy and so far such a breeze. She came home at 18 pounds and we already have had to
increase her collar notch in the 5 days we have had her. She is doing incredibly well with potty
training. Very few accidents and already lets us know when she has to go by giving a little
whimper and wiggling her tushy. She is doing great with her crate... We are just trying to adjust
her internal alarm clock, since she feels 5:45 am is the perfect time to get up and party.
We can tell she will be a leaner. She loves to be touching Adam and me or the kids... Just leans
up against us and takes naps. Amazingly, the cats are even accepting her presence [although not
quite feeling the love, yet] ;) and she hasn't barked once at them. She just looks at them and
sits down quietly when they come near to smell her. She is doing amazingly well and has
transitioned perfectly into our hearts and home.
Thank you!
Janet
