Update received 11/05/19: Sandy, I just wanted to let you know that we said goodbye to our friend and family member Fezik the 1st of October.  He was living with some pain from his hips.  The vet advised us that he had lost feeling in his back legs, so we kept him with us for a few more months before we knew he was in too much pain. He was such a member of our family and we miss him dearly.  Our youngest son bonded with him very much.  Fezik seemed to watch over him mostly and was always concerned with where he was and what he was doing. We wanted to thank you again for providing such a wonderful dog and for all the advice over the years.  Fezik was a fun loving dog who enjoyed the water so much and wouldn't let a ball be thrown or played with without him having some fun as well.  He was always so gentle with our little children.  One of my favorite things about Fezik was I could play tug-o-war with him and he would try to rip my arm off my body, but the second I handed the rope to any of our kids he would instantly tone down. We currently live in NJ due to the military and Fezik really seemed to enjoy this climate the best.  The occasional snowfall turned him into a puppy again and we are very sad to not share another winter with him. Fezik is growing and doing great!  He's in his second set of obedience classes.  We're working on his CGC certificate so hopefully we'll have some good news to report in the next few months.  He loves playing fetch and playing in the water!  He's not a big fan of the heat and will often park himself over the a/c vent on the floor!  He's such a great pup and we love him so much!

Hello Sandy,

I just wanted to let you know how Fezik is doing.  We had our second visit to the vet today.  Last Monday, the vet was really impressed after the check up how healthy Fezik was.  I quickly let her know how great of a breeder he came from.  He was just shy of 16 pounds that day.  Today he was just over twenty pounds.  He did amazing in the crate.  He never whined more than a couple of minutes.  Once the lights were out he just went to sleep :)  Now he might give a little whimper at first, but most of the time enjoys going in there.  A lot of times we find him sleeping in there on his own.  Potty training is going well.  He has gone on command since we picked him up from you.  We still haven't figured out his pee habits yet.  The only times he has gone in the house this week so far is when we were dressing at the door to take him out.  I guess he just couldn't wait.  He whines when he has to poop though.  That's a relief.  I think he will get the pee down soon.  He seems so smart.  He already knows not to bite.  He still has his moments, but most of the time quickly changes his activity once distracted.  He just learned the down command today.  He knows his name for the most part and he has been sitting since last week.
